Postdoctoral investigator global ocean climate modeling
We invite applications for a post-doc to work on model simulations and the theoretical analyses of the sensitivity of the ocean carbon sink to climate driven changes in ocean ventilation. A Ph.D. in oceanography, biogeochemistry or atmospheric sciences is preferred. Strong quantitative skills and programming experience, especially programming in Fortran, matlab or python, is highly desirable. Experience with running large climate models ideal.
The successful applicant will work with Dr. Irina Marinov in the Earth Science Dept at UPenn (http://www.sas.upenn.edu/earth/marinov.html) and with Dr. Jorge Sarmiento and his biogeochemistry group in the Atmospheric Oceanic Sciences Program at Princeton University, and will spend time at both institutions.
