Stream Ecologist
The Patrick Center for Environmental Research at The Academy of Natural Sciences invites applications for a career-track, research position available immediately. The successful applicant will have a PhD in ecology, with expertise in benthic invertebrate ecology. A focus on the use of benthic macroinvertebrates as indices of water quality, as well as aspects of secondary production and linkages between trophic levels, is desirable. Focus on nutrient and microbial biogeochemistry and algal benthic ecology will also be considered. Candidates are expected to carry out innovative and insightful research, and communicate the results to academic, technical, and popular audiences.
