Research Assistant-Zooplankton Ecologist
The research in this joint OSU/NOAA project attempts to understand and predict the effects of climate variability on the distribution, abundance, and vital rates of copepods and euphausiids in the coastal upwelling zone of the northern California Current. Much of the effort in this position will be devoted to enumerating zooplankton to species and developmental stage in plankton samples, experimental work on living zooplankton, data anlysis and preparation of results suitable for publication.
QUALIFICATIONS: M.S in marine science such as oceanography, fisheries, zoology or closely related field. Applicants should be proficient with database management and data analysis and have an interest in developing physical (climate) and ecological indicators of ocean conditions that could prove useful for fisheries management For full application information, see recruiting announcement at
