Lab Technician Marine Sciences
I will have an opening in my research program for a
technician beginning in May or June 2008. I am
looking for someone with a MS degree (or BS
degree with experience) in Chemistry,
Marine Science, Environmental Science or related
fields. The position involves organic geochemical
analyses of samples from a variety of projects
focused on understanding the sources and
composition of organic carbon in coastal and
estuarine environments. The ideal candidate will
have experience with solvent extraction of organic
compounds, gas chromatography, gas
chromatography-mass spectrometry, and operation
of an elemental analyzer. The position is primarily
lab-based but some participation in field work is
necessary.
