| DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES AND BACKGROUND | |
After graduating from NCSU in 2006 I moved to Morehead City, NC to start a career in the business field. Having tried my hand at a job unrelated to my degree in Natural Resources (with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Resources), I am eager to find a position in the marine science/resources field. I spent a summer taking a field studies course at NCSU's CMAST in Morehead City. This gave me a lot of experience and knowledge in coastal processes, ecology, and marine biology, while teaching me field techniques in wetlands, estuaries, tidal inlets, and other habitats. I grew up in Nags Head, NC, where I also gained experience with water quality and marine biology through a volunteer program at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island and through a Research Assistant position with NCSU's Blue Crab Project. I am looking for any position which will allow me to gain experience in the field and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. | |
