Research Experience
Researcher
Skills: Analyzed data collected in Bermuda during summer 2007; in the process of writing a paper in collaboration with Gretchen Goodbody-Gringley and Robert M. Woollacott to be presented at the 2007 International Coral Symposium in July 2008; in the process of writing a thesis on the same topic.
Principal Investigator: Robert M. Woollacott, Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Harvard University 09/2007-present
Researcher
Skills: Conducted research examining the effects of light availability of the growth of juvenile Favia fragum. Assisted in nighttime larvae collection and counts of Favia fragum during its spawning. Analyzed zooxanthellae and chlorophyll levels of developing corals. Transplanted coral housing structures to and from the natural reef setting. Maintained tanks housing adult Favia fragum. Gained experienced in scientific diving.
Field research conducted at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences
