| STABLE ISOTOPIC TRACERS OF WASTEWATER NITROGEN IN AQUATIC ECOSYSTEMS |
 |
| Our overall objective is to define the general applicability of a stable isotopic approach for tracking land-derived waste-water N in receiving water bodies. We measured stable isotopic signals in groundwater and producers in freshwater ponds and saltwater estuaries during 3 seasons. We then compared producer isotopic signals to modeled wastewater N load. Results show a relationship between the isotopic signal in producers and wastewater N load across a range of nitrogen loads. |
