| ANALYSIS OF STREAM FLOW COMPONENTS |
 |
| A study was conducted in a first-order stream draining a coastal plain watershed from October 1999- December 2000 to quantify the relative contributions of hydrologic components (e.g., direct precipitation, surface water runoff/interflow, and groundwater discharge). Turtle Creek, a first-order stream, is located in York River State Park in southeastern Virginia. Fecal coliform samples were also collected throughout the study to investigate correlations between maximum and minimum discharge and corresponding MPN values. |
